TrimPix

The technology links high resolution photos to GIS features. The TrimPix software is free of charge. TrimPix enables Trimble handhelds running Mobile 5.0 software to connect to WFi-capable Nikon COOLPIX digital cameras and receive high resolution photos in seconds. Utilizing the built-in Wireless LAN capability of your Trimble handheld, a peer-to-peer network between the handheld and the camera is established.  Then, when you take a shot it is automatically sent to you handheld at wireless LAN speed of up to 54 megabits per second.  Images ae transferred and placed in the \My documents\My Pictures directory on the handheld. As the images are transferred immediately after being taken, they are not stored on the camera. Trimble's Data Transfer Utility will copy both Terrasync software files and associated pictures to you office computer.
